Customer areas
Identify counters, entrance floors and accessible display surrounds. Ask staff to move fragile goods and loose stock first. Mark displays that should remain untouched and choose a time that avoids queues and busy customer routes.
FOR YOUR PREMISES
A plan that fits your premises
Your customer areas and staff rooms have different demands. Describe the premises, busiest routes and trading hours so the cleaning brief fits how your business actually works.

THE RIGHT BRIEF
Commercial Cleaning is the starting point for shops, showrooms and other workplaces. Office Cleaning focuses on desks and staff facilities. Contract Cleaning explains recurring schedules and the details to agree for an ongoing arrangement.
A shop, showroom and shared workspace have different priorities. Describe how visitors move through your premises, where staff take breaks and which areas carry the most dirt. Counters and accessible display surrounds may need wiping, but stock and fragile merchandise should be moved by your staff. Mark private rooms and displays that must remain untouched. General cleaning does not automatically include clearing business waste or moving heavy goods.

PLAN THE WORK
Use the customer areas, staff rooms, floor finishes and opening hours below to define the work. A shop floor and a stockroom have different access needs.
Identify counters, entrance floors and accessible display surrounds. Ask staff to move fragile goods and loose stock first. Mark displays that should remain untouched and choose a time that avoids queues and busy customer routes.
List staff kitchens, break rooms, storage-room floors and waste points. State who removes packaging or business waste. Cleaning around stored goods is different from clearing or reorganising stock, which needs separate agreement.
Share care instructions for stone, vinyl, carpet tiles, coated metal and other finishes. Point out scratches or worn coatings before the visit. Specialist floor treatment should be discussed separately from ordinary vacuuming or mopping.
Explain opening times, deliveries, loading access and any induction or escort requirement. Agree which areas can be made available in stages. Equipment and damp floors need a plan that keeps working routes usable.
HOW IT WORKS
Photograph the trading floor and identify stocked or restricted areas.
Check visitor routes, staff facilities and the time available for each visit.
Arrange a staff contact and keep deliveries clear of the work areas.

BEFORE THE VISIT
Share opening hours, delivery times and any building induction. A simple floor plan can show the boundaries of the work better than a broad request to clean everything. Identify unusual stone, metal or coated surfaces and send their care instructions. Plan a safe route around any areas being cleaned.
PRICES & QUOTATIONS
Describe the type of premises, public opening hours and floor area. A showroom with stocked displays needs a different plan from an empty office. Include washrooms, staff facilities and any specialist floors in the enquiry. Shopfront glass and internal partitions can be quoted separately from the shop-floor routine. GOOD TO KNOW
Questions about customer areas, back-of-house rooms.
Explain the areas that remain occupied and the quietest periods. Some tasks may be possible in stages, while others need a clear room or route. Agree the access plan before booking.
Do not assume so. Arrange for staff to clear agreed surfaces and describe any heavy or fragile goods. Movement of stock or equipment needs explicit discussion.
List each material and send care information where available. The methods need to suit the surfaces, and specialist treatments may require a separate appointment.
